These two features allows students to save any annotations and highlights that they have made to a document. They can store the files in their Google Drive and the highlights and annotations will also be saved. Alternatively, students can print their annotations and highlights. The annotation and highlight printing option is only available for PDF.

Being able to save work is useful for everybody. It is especially helpful for students who have difficulty getting organized. The annotation and highlight printing option is good for students who prefer to have printed copies of material.

Use in a class:

Students who save work to their drive can share their annotations and highlights with a teacher so a teacher can monitor progress. Teachers could print off a document for their class and provide annotations to clarify parts of the text. It's very useful for some students to have a paper copy when it comes time for preparing for summative assessments such as quizzes, tests and exams.
