The typewriter function in Read&Write for Google allows people to type directly into PDF & ePUB files. Text boxes are created and can be saved so that students can add their own text to a PDF document. The text can be saved and it can also be read back to the student just like other text on a page.

Students that would benefit:

Every user could potentially benefit from using this feature. Students who have difficulty focusing could take notes as they are reading or as they are listening. This would also allow students to make connections to the text. Students who have difficulty typing or writing could use the speech to text feature that is built into this tool to help the make notes.

Use in a class:

A teacher could comment on students' work using this feature. Teachers could use this feature when they are having their students do peer evaluations. Students could use this tool to take notes while they are studying to refer back to at a later date. This way students could write the main points and have them for reference.
