Description:

This icon's function is used to extract highlighted information made on Google documents. When the learner is finished they can clear by selecting highlights and click broom icon. 

User Notes:

The user highlights the information to be collected. Then click on circular arrow icon to collect by color or position in document. All will open in a new Google doc. In addition, a reference will be provided at the bottom of the page to cite where the information was taken from.

PDF and ePUB: 
 same as above

Supporting learners:

The Collect Highlights button will open a new Google Doc and automatically sort your highlights by color and includes a link to the original site! You can highlight and sort parts of speech, story elements, topic sentences, evidence from the text and more.

Using it in the classroom:

Teachers can use this function to create vocabulary lists, study notes/key points from area of

curriculum.
