Push Pin Annotation

Push Pin Annotation

Push Pin:
The Push Pin annotation feature that is on the Read and Write for Google PDF reader is a tool that gives the user the ability to add comments, make notes, and give directions. The function allows the user to create a comment box within a document of up to 500 characters. Once a comment, note, or direction has been created using the feature, a push pin icon will appear when the text box has been added. This signifies that there is an annotation on the PDF document. In addition to placing an annotation with a push pin on the document, a comments box will appear on the side of the document. This allows you to create a dialogue with another user if the document is shared. It provides the users with the opportunity to give more in-depth feedback in relation to the push pin annotation. When the user clicks on the icon of the push pin, the X that appears with the icon will disappear. This indicates that there is an available push pin to be placed in the document. This is a feature that is only available for the ePub and PDF reader, it is not a feature that can be accessed in Docs or using the Web toolbar.

The function allows the student and the teacher the ability to communicate, offer feedback and take notes directly on the document.
